Amphenol Socapex Rugged USB Solutions are designed to perform in the harshest environments, maintaining an IP68 seal against fluids and dust. Rugged USB connectors allow the use of a standard USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 cord set into a metallic plug to protect it from shocks, dust, and fluids. The series does not require cabling operation, or any necessary tooling, in the field. Amphenol Socapex Rugged USB Solutions feature Tri-Start threaded coupling to prevent the plug from backing off of the receptacle during high vibration.

USBFTVX ATEX Connectors

Amphenol Socapex USBFTVX ATEX Connectors are certified for use in explosive environments and are fitted for use in Atex zone 2 environments. These rugged and sealed USB connectors have been 100% tested at 500V for 1 minute without sparking. The metallic plug is connected to a receptacle using a Tri-Start thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 series III type) with an anti-decoupling device for high vibrations. Typical applications for Amphenol Socapex USBFTVX ATEX USB Connectors include robotics, factory automation, and process control.
