However, this has numerous disadvantages in an automotive environment. The LED output will vary with voltage during stop/start events, and VF-matched LEDs may be required for visual matching. AEC-Q100 Medium Voltage LED Controllers

Diodes Incorporated AEC-Q100 Medium Voltage LED Controllers combine a small footprint and high power density to drive high-current LEDs. These Diodes Incorporated LED controllers can deliver LED currents up to 1.5A. The AEC-100 qualified LED controllers to include buck, boost, and buck-boost device topologies. These LED controllers are manufactured in facilities qualified to the rigorous TS16949 standard and capable of customer audit to VDA6.3. The medium voltage LED controllers meet AEC-Q100 grade 1 automotive quality requirements and AEC-Q100 grade 0 with PPAP standards.

IS32LT3175N/P Single-Channel Linear LED Drivers

ISSI IS32LT3175N/P Single-Channel Linear LED Drivers come with fade in/out and PWM dimming. The regulators serve as a stand-alone LED driver-configurable from 20mA to 150mA with external resistors, no microcontroller is necessary. A logic level “courtesy light” signal from the PWM pin can be interfaced to precisely drive the LED channel. The IS32LT3175P obtains a positive polarity PWM signal. In addition, the IS32LT3175N obtains a negative polarity PWM signal. The regulator integrates a 63-step fade-in and fades out the algorithm (Gamma correction). This causes the output LED current to increasingly rise up to the full source value after the EN pin is pulsed.

ZXLD1370 LED Driver Controller IC

Diodes Incorporated ZXLD1370 is a multi-topology controller, enabling it to efficiently control the current through series connected LEDs.
