Railway & Transit Ruggedized DC/DC Converters

TRACO Power Railway and Transit DC/DC Converters are qualified to EN 50155 and EN 61373 standards as well as UL 60950-1 approved. These converters are additionally certified to IEC/EN/UL 60950-1, and several product families in the TEQ series also carry UL 508 certification for demanding Industrial requirements. The product offering covers 3W to 300W, with PCB-mount units from 3W to 240W and chassis-mount types covering 20W to 300W. These converters offer continuous operational input ranges that exceed the defined input voltage ranges of EN 50155. The DC/DC converters have galvanic isolation up to 2250V_DC (input-to-output or input-to-the-case).

TEQ-20WIR Ruggedized 20W DC/DC Converters

TRACO Power TEQ-20WIR Ruggedized 20W DC/DC Converters are EN 50155 approved for railway and transit applications as well as industrial requirements where a robust DC/DC power source is required. These chassis-mountable units deliver up to 88% efficiency while providing protection against short circuits, overvoltage, and overtemperature. The series provides increased EMC immunity against surge, burst, radiated, and conducted disturbances. TRACO Power TEQ-20WIR Ruggedized 20W DC/DC Converters are encased in a rugged metal chassis with a heatsink construction and an operating temperature of up to +83°C with natural convection cooling (+93°C with power derating). These converter modules have an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range with output ratings of 5V_DC at 4000mA, 12V_DC at 1670mA, ±12V_DC at 833mA, 15V_DC at 1330mA, ±15V_DC at 667mA, and 24V_DC at 833mA.
