ADS114S08B/ADS114S06B 16 Bit Delta-Sigma ADCs

Texas Instruments ADS114S08B/ADS114S06B 16 Bit, 4kSPS, 12 Ch Delta-Sigma ADCs With PGA and Voltage Reference provide low power consumption and many integrated features. The ADS114S08B/ADS114S06B ADCs excel in applications that measure small-signal sensors, with features that reduce system cost and component count. A low-latency digital filter delivers simultaneous 50Hz and 60Hz rejection at ≤20SPS for noisy enviroments. Gains ranging from 1 to 128 to amplify low-level signals for resistive bridge or thermocouple applications is provided by a low-noise, programmable gain amplifier. Printed circuit board area is reduced by integrating a low-drift, 2.5V reference. Accurate RTD biasing is allowed through two programmable excitation current sources. Design flexibility is supported by an input multiplexer with 12 inputs for the ADS114S08B and six inputs for the ADS114S06B that can be connected to the ADC in any combination. Other features for the ADS114S08B/ADS114S06B include system monitoring, voltage bias for thermocouples, sensor burn-out detection and four general-purpose I/Os.
