WSL18 Power Metal Strip® High Power Resistors

Vishay / Dale WSL18 Power Metal Strip® High Power Resistors offer twice the power of standard WSL (from 2.0W to 0.20W), as well as extremely low resistance values (down to 0.0005Ω). With all welded construction and solid metal Nickel-Chrome or Manganese-Copper alloy resistive element with low TCR (<20ppm/ºC), the WSL18 Series are ideal for all types of current sensing, voltage division, and pulse applications including switching and linear power supplies, instruments, and power amplifiers. The Vishay / Dale WSL18 Series Power Metal Strip High Power Resistors feature solderable terminations, very low inductance (0.5nH to 5nH), and excellent frequency response to 50MHz.

Current Sensing Resistors

Vishay / Dale Current Sensing Resistors are SMT, fixed, discrete resistors available in a wide range of package sizes. WSLP 18 High Power Metal Strip® Resistors

Vishay / Dale WSLP..18 High Power Metal Strip® Resistors are an 0805 and 1206-size family of very high power resistors (2W) with low resistance values (down to 0.005Ω). These 0805 and 1206-sized resistors exhibit very low inductance (0.5nH to 5nH), excellent frequency response to 50 MHz, and low thermal EMF (< 3 μV/°C). Vishay / Dale WSLP..18 High Power Metal Strip Resistors are ideal for current sensing, voltage division, and pulse applications as well as power supplies and amplifiers, instruments, and shunts.

High-Temperature Products

Vishay offers high-temperature resistors, capacitors, inductors, and semiconductors. In oil and gas drilling, the instrumentation is exposed to harsh environments, including extreme temperatures, pressure, moisture, shock, and vibration. Once commissioned, the instrumentation must be relied upon to function for 5 to 10 years, and be powered at very high temperatures with no maintenance. The components used for this instrumentation must be able to withstand these harsh conditions while maintaining accuracy. Failure of the data would necessitate its removal for repairs, causing costly delays. Vishay helps to avoid this possibility by offering several high-reliability and high-precision resistors, capacitors, inductors, and semiconductors.

Vishay / Dale has expanded its WSL Series SMD Power Metal Strip® Resistors to include additional values. The case size 0603 WSL series features a 0.25W to 2.0W power rating, 0.001Ω to 0.5Ω resistance range, 0.5nH to 5nH very low inductance, excellent frequency response, and low thermal EMF, as well as a solid metal nickel-chrome or manganese-copper alloy resistive element with low TCR (<20ppm/°C). Vishay / Dale´s WSL series low-value SMD Power Metal Strip Resistor´s operating temperature range is -65°C to +170°C, and the lead free version is RoHS compliant.
